Thought this would be news worthy; I stumbled upon this little gem of an online web based game called Travian . Now, if you're anything like me and like the odd eco/stratedgy game, you'll probably love this. The idea of Travian is you begin with a small village which you grow and expand. You play online with 1000's of other people, each with their own village. You can trade or battle, take over new land and build up a mighty empire. So far, I've only spent a day playing it on and off but its really gripped me, so for those people looking for something a little bit different give it ago (and let me know how you get on!)

 If you have a steam account you maybe already aware of this; Steam are now offering the whole back catalog of ID games, from the original Quake, Hexen and Doom all the way through their respective sequels. There's a load of different packs you can purchase including the ID Super Pack which is around £30.00 once you convert from the $62.95 price tag.
