The next More-LAN Mini LAN will be held at our offices on the Friday 21st of September 2007 starting at 5pm - 10pm.

If you can attend please pop a post so we have a good idea of numbers.

The next event will be testing in an enclosed network environment with no internet connection (one is available but we want to test as much without) with out games servers/dhcp servers/files servers etc...

i.e. Close to what we will have for the October Event.

There will be a dedicated CS Source and CS server, dhcp/DNS server and file server.

ALSO GUYS REMEMBER END OF THIS MONTH AND OUR DISCOUNT ENDS FOR ENTRANCE FEE! SO GET BOOKING BEFORE THEN TO SAVE.

We've now got a new server machine:

AMD Athlon 64 4000
2GB DDR Memory
160GB HD
2 x 10/100/1000 Ethernet Ports

We've installed Linux Ubuntu 7.04 with VMWare to be able to run several severs in there own environment and with the ability to move them from machine to machine in a matter of minutes.

I've got a 32 player cs: source (from quick testing this afternoon client latency was solid "5") server running on it already and getting another cs server with all our favourite maps from previous mini lans running on there aswell.

American Ben is currently working on a DHCP/DNS/Fileserver and Mark is currently testing his 3G internet connection.

So full steam ahead (hehe, get it, steam?)

Is it going to deffinatly going to be on, or is it still to be confirmed?
